Expert for Sustainable Innovations & Facilitator
“If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.” (Albert Einstein)
Steffen Dehn works as a freelance consultant and certified agile coach (Design Thinking & Scrum) at the interssection of sustainability and innovation management. Through his workshops, he supports clients such as the BMU (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety) and IOM (International Organisation for Migration) in discovering the major interrelations and synergies in their working environment so that they can manage complex change and remain relevant actors in a sustainable future.
After his studies in Natural Resource Management in the context of climate change and the growing world population, he worked for the GIZ (Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit) in Indonesia on ecosystem-based climate adaptation in agriculture and forestry. He then worked with the United Nations and coordinated civil society participation processes in the UN Forum on Forests.
Many innovation projects in recent years have shown that the possibilities of digitization are currently not being sufficiently leveraged to support the sustainability transformation. With the help of formats that break down old thought patterns and allow for new, innovative ideas, Steffen Dehn supports organizations in times in which uncertainty prevails in many areas, to take proactive action and to tackle even complex challenges through an iterative approach.
